Global Dairy Agenda for Action - reporting event, IDF 2010 World Dairy Summit, Auckland, New Zealand
In September 2009, seven organizations signed a Global Dairy Agenda for Action on Climate Change on behalf of the worlds dairy associations and companies to join forces to address climate change. This is an industry pledge at an unprecedented level of cooperation across national borders and along the dairy supply chain.
The Global Dairy Agenda for Action is intended as a living document committed to reporting progress on promoting the long-term sustainable supply of milk and dairy products on a regular and transparent basis. One year in, the Signatories have showcased some of the very encouraging achievements made to date during an Interim Update given at the IDF World Dairy Summit in Auckland, New Zealand.
Showcasing the Dairy Sector's Efforts in the Green Paper
Featured on the Dairy Sustainability Website, the Green Paper is an online catalogue of initiatives enabling organizations and individuals working in the dairy supply chain to showcase and share information about the affirmative sustainability actions that they are implementing. It also provides a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to be better informed about what the dairy supply chain is doing on climate change.
If you have an example that would demonstrate your commitment to reduce GHG emissions, submit it online to join the growing number of organizations showcasing their efforts and demonstrating how the dairy supply chain is working together to address this most significant challenge.
