    Parma, Italy, 19 October 2011 - The worldwide dairy sector highlighted their collaborative results in reducing global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions during the reporting session of the Global Dairy Agenda for Action on Climate Change (GDAA) today at the IDF World Dairy Summit, Parma, Italy.

  • The Global Dairy Agenda for Action: Biannual reporting event, Parma, Italy, Wednesday 19 October 2011


    Committing the global dairy sector to address climate change, the primary objective of the GDAA is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the milk supply chain. Through worldwide cooperation, the dairy sector is adopting strategies to achieve more efficient and sustainable dairy production for an increasing global population.

  • Global Dairy Agenda for Action - reporting event, IDF 2010 World Dairy Summit, Auckland, New Zealand


    In September 2009, seven organizations signed a Global Dairy Agenda for Action on Climate Change on behalf of the world’s dairy associations and companies to join forces to address climate change. This is an industry pledge at an unprecedented level of cooperation across national borders and along the dairy supply chain.


    The Global Dairy Agenda for Action is intended as a living document committed to reporting progress on promoting the long-term sustainable supply of milk and dairy products on a regular and transparent basis. One year in, the Signatories’ have showcased some of the very encouraging achievements made to date during an Interim Update given at the IDF World Dairy Summit in Auckland, New Zealand.

  • Showcasing the Dairy Sector's Efforts in the Green Paper


    Featured on the Dairy Sustainability Website, the Green Paper is an online catalogue of initiatives enabling organizations and individuals working in the dairy supply chain to showcase and share information about the affirmative sustainability actions that they are implementing. It also provides a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to be better informed about what the dairy supply chain is doing on climate change.
